Al most as long as there have been cars that needed brakes, Ate was around manufacturing them. I have sold Ate brake parts since I started selling European parts in 1975. More than likely I was selling them before that at the dealer level at the Volvo dealer, but in Volvo boxes. In my mind Ate is synonymous with brakes on all European  built cars including Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, Saab, Volvo and Mini.

Besides he standard brake parts like master cylinders, wheel cylinders, calipers, hoses, boosters, etc. I have a few stand out Ate products I recommend. One of them is the Ate Premium One brake discs. They used to be called Power Disc but the name was changed for marketing reasons. The product remains the same, however. The Premium One brake disc has an elliptical groove cut into the surface that sweeps heat, dust, gas and water off the surface of the rotor creating a more efficient braking surface. I have found them to be exceptionally well suited for rainy areas.

Ate has and always will be synonymous with OE-Quality and would always be my choice of brake products.
