Comments:

I am not personally famliar with ELF, now Total, Lubricants, but in researching the internet and the product brochures it appears that they have been around for a long time in the racing circles. I remember seeing the ELF name on many cars in the winning circles.

I have sold and used other synthetic oils and am a staunch believer in the superior lubricant properties of synthetic oils, and run my cars on them. MercedesBenz and other European car manufacturers have switched to synthetic oil in the crankcase from the factory and at the dealerships during normal service.

ELF Lubricants, long known for their high quality and perfromance characteristics have now changed their name to Total Lubricants, the name of the parent company. The product is the same, only the label and the name is different.
